AMMAN- a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was concluded between Jordan Armed Forces-Arab and Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org).

 

The MoU was signed by Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Friehat and TAG-Org Chairman Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh. 

 

The MoU aims at developing cooperation between the two parties, setting them to serve common interests, by providing expertise and knowledge through training in the different professional and educational fields managed and supervised by TAG-Org.

 

 

Targeted cooperation programs include training on the use of computer and Internet programs, the establishment of knowledge stations, teaching languages, media and radio courses, in coordination with the concerned directorates and centers at the Jordanian Armed Forces.

 

Moreover, General Friehat and Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh inaugurated Al-Shohada’ (The Martyrs) Hall for Media Monitoring at the Directorate of Morale Guidance. The Hall was jointly established between the two entities to enhance the Directorate’s work in media monitoring of different print, audio- visual outlets especially satellite news channels and social networks, whether local, regional, or international, by a team of qualified and trained experts for this purpose comprising officers, non-commissioned officers, as well as civil personnel at the Directorate. 

 

The Hall will be used for monitoring media reports, photographed material, comments and feedback, essays and different social networks, as well as daily reports related to local, regional and international issues in political and military fields, in addition to monitoring the media impact on what is happening on the regional and international scene.

 

General Freihat expressed his gratitude to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for the Organization’s support to this Hall, and his admiration of the extraordinary level and high proficiency of the Directorate of Morale Guidance in the media field.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh underlined the significance of media outlets in transferring concepts accurately within the principles of ethics and of good practice and training in this field stressing the Organization’s readiness to carry out this training as done in different countries. 

 

 

He also identified a number of programs, which might be a basis of cooperation with the Armed Force.

The MoU signing ceremony and the inauguration of Al-Shohada’ Hall for Media Monitoring was attended by a number of department managers from both parties.
